I have owned and played and refurbished/rebuilt many vintage acoustic guitars and am always on the lookout for Vintage Yamaki, CF Mountain, Pro Martin, TF Morris and others of that era and build quality. I installed a K&K Pure Mini system but sold it to a man in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2012 before I moved to Europe. I is a very fine guitar indeed, very well built and has a lot of power and rich overtones as a fingerstyle guitar although a little tight and darker sounding as a strummer I would probably switch to round core strings to fix that. I had to choose the w200 model designation for upload purposes and it is closest to the w200-w230 specs. This is actually just stamped "Mountain Folk - Made by Hayashi Gakki" on the centre spine inside the soundhole. The photo you feature of the W200 is mine and my guitar. Hi, my two cents worth, as I came here through the Yamaki blog and couldn't help clicking on the CF Mountain thingy. Hopefully I won't need to clarify that one for you too much. I recall them with more clarity than I do half of the Asian massage parlour girls that I've known in Dallas, Texas. Martin acoustic guitars - I remember them all. Guess what? I do not recall every playing one - but C.F. I've put my hands on so many acoustic guitars that no record could ever possibly be accurate.
Well, upon further review of my mind - it's very likely that I HAVE played a "C.F. Mountain" is something that is pathetic, and if you do not know what is pathetic about it, then you realize now what my motive is in publishing this hub. I'll tell you the truth here - if I did own one, I'd probably take some sandpaper, and sand off that horrible "C.F. Down in my comments here, a man named Dave from over in England, assures me that his Mountain guitar is as fine a guitar as any Martin that he's played. I suspect that some of them are likely very good guitars - most likely they are intermediate level in quality, and possibly beginner level. I have absolutely no idea if those guitars are worth fifty cents, or fifty thousand each. Look, straight up - I've never touched a guitar by the dubious "C.F. For left-handed guitar players, this can be tricky to find a place to get that right selection.C.F. Adirondack Guitar was founded over 20 years ago for just this reason. Often times, musicians were told to flip a right-handed guitar upside down, reverse the strings or just learn righty. While there are the players everyone knows - Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Kurt Cobain or Babyface – lefty musicians are in the minority. Left-handed guitar players have had a tough go at finding the right gear in the past. Adirondack Guitar was Built For Left-Handed Guitar and Bass Players
